This exceptional vintage necklace by Bilitis features large, individually shaped jewelry elements in warm shades of copper orange and terracotta.

The necklace combines ribbed rectangular shapes, gently rounded cylinders, and an organically shaped centerpiece. The glossy glazed surfaces display fine web-like patterns and lively color variations, giving the necklace a handcrafted and individual character.

Based on visual assessment and comparisons with similar signed Bilitis jewelry, the elements are probably made of glazed ceramic. One of the elements is marked “Bilitis.”

Gold-tone metal spacer beads add warm accents. Toward the back, the design continues into a smooth black band made of rubber or a rubber-like material. A gold-tone metal lobster clasp completes the necklace. The gold-tone components are not made of real gold.
