๐ Handmade Cowrie Shell Necklace โ Golden Cowrie Collection
This beautiful handmade cowrie shell necklace combines the natural beauty of the ocean with a modern, asymmetrical jewelry design. Personally designed and handcrafted by me, it is part of my Golden Cowrie Collection at Frau Muschel โ Curated Treasures.
At the heart of this necklace is a genuine cowrie shell with a glossy surface and beautiful natural markings in shades of rusty brown, caramel, and cream. Its warm color variations and unique patterns make the shell a distinctive focal point, giving the necklace its natural, coastal charm.
A continuous gold-tone link chain beautifully complements the shell's warm brown tones. One of the most distinctive features is the intentionally side-positioned round spring ring clasp. Rather than simply serving as a fastening, it also becomes a visible part of the design.
The asymmetrical, slightly Y-shaped silhouette creates a modern look with a touch of bohemian elegance. As a more delicate design within my collection, this coastal shell necklace pairs beautifully with a white blouse, a flowing summer dress, or a simple everyday outfit.

๐ Why I Created This Piece
What I love most about this necklace is the natural pattern of the cowrie shell. To me, its warm rusty brown and caramel tones, accented by delicate shades of cream, complement the gold-tone chain beautifully.
For this particular design, I deliberately chose a smaller shell and a shorter chain. I wanted to create a more delicate version of my Golden Cowrie necklaces while giving it a character of its own.
I also positioned the round spring ring clasp to one side. I love it when a functional detail becomes part of the design itself, adding an unexpected and distinctive touch to a piece of jewelry.
The result is another one-of-a-kind creation from my Golden Cowrie Collection, inspired by my love of the ocean and the joy I find in creating jewelry by hand.
