At the heart of this necklace is a genuine cowrie shell with a glossy surface and individual natural markings in shades of cream, beige, and warm brown. The shell's unique patterns and gentle color variations give this piece its distinctive coastal character.
A continuous gold-tone link chain beautifully complements the natural colors of the shell. One of the most distinctive features is the intentionally side-positioned round spring ring clasp. Rather than simply serving as a fastening, it also becomes a visible and decorative part of the design.

๐ Why I Created This Piece
What I love most about this necklace is the natural beauty of the cowrie shell. Its soft cream and beige tones, combined with warm brown markings, create a beautiful contrast with the gold-tone chain.
I wanted to give this shell a special place in a design that feels both natural and contemporary. Rather than creating a traditional, symmetrical necklace, I chose a slightly Y-shaped silhouette that allows the shell to become the focal point.
I deliberately positioned the round spring ring clasp to one side. I love the idea of turning a functional detail into a visible part of the design, giving the necklace an individual and unexpected character.
The result is a one-of-a-kind creation from my Golden Cowrie Collection, inspired by my love of the ocean and the joy I find in creating jewelry by hand.
